Celebrating Dog Friendly Ireland Day

Today we celebrate the second annual Dog Friendly Ireland Day!

Dogs Trust, Ireland’s largest dog welfare charity, started this campaigndog bus last year to ‘highlight the small but effective changes that can be made in many different aspects of public life, in an effort to make Ireland more accessible to dogs and their owners’. In 2018, Dogs Trust re-homed roughly 900 dogs in Ireland; they believe a more pet-friendly environment will drastically increase these adoption numbers and promote animal inclusivity in all parts of our daily lives. Dogs Trust is encouraging hotels, restaurants, transportation services and any other public establishments to open their doors to dogs today! Check out the businesses that are participating in Dog Friendly Ireland Day here, and bring your furry friend along with you throughout the day!
