Four More Stores Vote To Join Tesco Ireland Strike
Four more Tesco Ireland stores have voted to join in the Mandate Trade Union strike action that is currently sweeping across Ireland over contract disputes.
Twenty stores in total have now chosen to get involved with the strike, which started on Valentine's Day.

Microsoft ramps up its operations, is hiring 600 people in Dublin Ireland
Microsoft has announced that it will be hiring 600 people and will be ramping up its operations in Ireland. This announcement follows the one wherein Dublin has been selected as the location for a global inside sales centers. This piece of news comes a month after Microsoft played of hundreds of staff last summer and had also announced to eliminate 2,850 positions from its workforce.
UK retail sales unexpectedly falls for third month in January
UK retail sales unexpectedly fell for a third month in January, suggesting consumers are starting to feel the squeeze from accelerating inflation.
The volume of goods sold in stores and online declined 0.3 per cent following a 2.1 per cent plunge in December, the Office for National Statistics said on Friday. The fall confounded market expectations for a 1 per cent increase. In the three months through January, sales dropped 0.4 per cent, the worst quarterly performance since 2013.
Dundrum Towncentre tailor-made for us, says Moss Bros
British menswear retailer Moss Bros has agreed a deal with Hammerson to let a 343sq m unit in Dundrum Towncentre in Dublin. This will be its second store in the Republic, adding to an outlet in Liffey Valley shopping centre.
It also has an outlet in Kildare Village operating as Savoy Taylors Guild Kildare.
Mars to launch cocoa flavanol supplements in UK, Ireland
Mars Inc is eyeing "leading retailers" in the UK and Ireland after deciding to launch its CocoaVia food supplements in the two markets.
The company, which already sells the supplements in the US, has made the products available on CocoaVia.co.uk and Amazon's UK site. Each three-capsule portion of the supplement contains 375mg of cocoa flavanols. Mars pointed to a health claim approved by the EU, which says a minimum daily consumption of 200mg of cocoa flavanols contributes to normal blood flow.
A hold-up for €150m Liffey Valley extension might not be such a bad thing
The owners of the other major shopping centres around Dublin were, we hear, whooping and hollering over the decision last week by An Bórd Pleanála to reject a proposed €150 million extension of Liffey Valley in Clondalkin.
But given the “storm clouds” that lobby group Retail Ireland warns are gathering over the retail industry, might the board’s decision turn into a silver lining for Liffey Valley’s new owner if those storm clouds burst and drown the retail sector?
€18M PRICE TAG FOR HENRY STREET RETAIL SITE
A Dublin property let in its entirety to a high-profile retailer has been brought to the market with a guide price of €18m (£15.3m).
Savills has been appointed to sell 42-43 Henry Street and said it expects to attract interest from both domestic and international investors looking to gain a foothold in Ireland's busiest retail thoroughfare. The guide price equates to a net initial yield of 4.6 per cent.
